Paul was a pleasure to work with. He kept us fully informed of progress throughout the build, responded to and resolved our queries and concerns calmly and professionally, and co-ordinated the sub-contractors and Council inspection requirements without our having any worries in delivering our new build.
Paul and his team’s workmanship and completion of our new build were of the highest standard and most importantly, our new build was completed on time and within budget.
We would have no hesitation in working with Paul and his team again for any future project.

Paul McDonnell from Paul McDonnell Homes Limited has built two of our family homes in Johnsonville, Wellington. The first was at 94 Cortina Avenue with construction starting in 2001 and successfully completed in 2002, which we lived in for 14 years.
The second is our current home at 184 Mclintock Street North. We have been living here since 24th June 2016.
With the Cortina Avenue build we found Paul and his team were great to work with. Any variations we made were dealt with promptly. Communication was active and positive between us and his team resulting in a great building experience for us.
When Mclintock Street North was developed at the end of Cortina Ave the desire for us to build again started to set in. We didn’t hesitate to approach Paul on this possibility. He bent over backwards to help us purchase a section. Paul and his current team then did a stellar job in building our current new home.
We were also especially impressed with Pauls work team taking the time and effort it took to get the job done with care and attention to detail requested by us the clients.
The saying goes that going through the process of building a family home can be stressful. However, Paul McDonnell Homes made it easy for us. Twice! We wouldn’t hesitate to have Paul and his team build our third home one day.

I found Paul McDonnell Homes while I was searching for property via Trademe. I checked their website and saw that there were a lot of excellent projects completed in the past. Also few ongoing projects in Mclintock Street, North Johnsonville.
I contacted them and went out to see some ongoing projects. I was then able to finalise my first home in New Zealand with them for a reasonable price with good quality.
I would say, their service before and after sale is excellent. I definitely recommend them for any property construction as they are good quality, reliable and friendly builder.

The highest acclaim we can give is that the job was completed on time (save for unforeseen events ie COVID, and extras e.g. the replacement of the roof) and ON Budget despite all of that.
There was no dispute over extras, and these were easily dealt with.
Your people worked with us to augment the architect’s drawings, and to facilitate the internal design development, Ann in particular prescribed.
We are delighted that you and your team have created a masterpiece on the original foundations of the building in the Old section of Waikanae Beach.

Over the last twelve months, we have had the happy experience of having a house designed and built by Paul McDonnell through his building company Paul McDonnell Homes.
We first met Paul two years ago while he was building our daughter’s house and it very quickly became obvious that he was a high-quality builder with an excellent reputation.
Our experience included taking time to select materials, fittings and appliances through a number of suppliers and without exception the suppliers were very complimentary about Paul’s performance as a builder and as a person to conduct business with.
He has a very open and obliging approach and a friendly and pleasant disposition. It has been a pleasure working with Paul and we are delighted with the home he has built us.

My husband and I contracted Paul’s team at Paul McDonnell Homes Limited in October of this year to undertake a complete renovation of our bathroom at our home. The job involved reducing the size of the existing bathroom, creating a new, separate en suite, and a new wardrobe and laundry enclave.
We were extremely happy with the work undertaken, and the efficiency and thoughtfulness of the entire team. Paul and his team were able to start work almost as soon as we asked them to and the work done was done quickly and to a very high standard. The job was completed well within the timeframe that had been given in the outset.
We were also extremely impressed with the care with which the team took to try to cause as little interference to our day-to-day life as possible while still working efficiently. When the work was completed we were delighted to see the effort that the team had taken to clean up as well.
